I just mounted a new full metal hot end that i got from 3dLabTek in Poland. They letting me try there hotend to compare with my previous e3d v5 full metal hotend.
I´m using 1,75 mm filament with direct drive extruder.
The new one is a little bit smaller in body but the heat block is bigger so i think it will be a little bit more steady in temp, even if i not got any problem with the E3d hot end with that. This also result in that the 3dLabTek hot end will take some more time to cool down and heat up.
The 3dLabTek hot end looks really good in the construction an finish of the metal parts.
The first prints that i show in this post is not so good but i don´t think i can complain the hot end for this. I need some more test with different temp and some work with the slicer software.
45,28 eur for the 3dLabTek kit.
54,00 eur for the E3d v6 kit.
(The v5 version that i got is replaced with the v6,
The first impression i got is that the 3dLabTek hot end is nearly the same quality as the E3d v5 hot end. Maybe the fan holder is printed a little bit to fast but the function is there. This fan holder fits better on the body than the E3d v5 fan holder was. The E3d fan holder makes a lot of sounds that came from the vibration in the fan.
